The books included here are available to a general audience (not just the school market) and can be found at your local libraries or book stores. When I could find a guided reading level for a given text, I included it on the leveled list without an asterisk. The books I could not find a published guided reading level on have an asterisk after the title and are included on the leveled lists that seemed most appropriate. Remember, I am not a reading specialist. Please think of this list as a place to find an approximate leveling of a book. If you are interested in really delving into the topic of text leveling, I would suggest reading Fountas and Pinnell’s work on Guided Reading.
